The short version: the only personal information we collect is your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to the newsletter. We use it to send you the newsletter and nothing else. We never sell or rent it, and you can unsubscribe from any email in one click. The contact form asks only for your name, email and message, and we use them solely to reply. The audience statistics shown on the media kit are the site owner's own social media numbers, not data about you.
This policy explains how neverboredinorlando.com (the "site"), operated by Never Bored In Orlando, handles information.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide, and your first name if you choose to give one. We collect this only when you submit it yourself, and we use it for a single purpose: sending you the Never Bored In Orlando newsletter, covering things to do in Orlando and Central Florida, including occasional sponsored or partnership content, which is always disclosed as such.
We also record the date you subscribed, and standard delivery information such as whether an email was delivered or opened. This is used to keep the list healthy and to remove addresses that consistently bounce.
Specifically, we will not:
Unsubscribing. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect immediately. You can also email us and we'll remove you. When you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the active list; we may keep a minimal record of the unsubscribe itself so that you aren't accidentally re-added.
The newsletter is sent using a third-party email delivery service, which stores the subscriber list on our behalf and processes it only on our instructions. That provider's own privacy policy also applies to the handling of your address.
The media kit page has a contact form asking for your name, email address, and a description of what you're looking for. We use these solely to reply to you and to discuss working together.
When you submit the form, the details are sent to our own server, which emails them to us. We do not use a third-party form service, and the message is not stored in a database — it arrives in our email inbox and lives there like any other message. We also record the IP address the submission came from, purely to block automated abuse of the form.
We do not add people to the newsletter from contact form submissions, we do not share enquiries with brands or anyone else, and we do not use these details for marketing. Messages are kept in our inbox as business correspondence; email us if you'd like yours deleted.
Beyond the newsletter, this site has no user accounts or logins. We do use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, both of which set their own cookies — see Analytics and Advertising below.
Like any website, our hosting infrastructure processes standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. These server logs are not used to build profiles of visitors and are not shared.
The media kit page displays audience statistics for the site owner's own Instagram, TikTok and Facebook accounts, such as follower counts and view counts. These are retrieved once per day by a scheduled process on our own server using the official Meta and TikTok APIs, and saved to a small file that the page reads.
To be explicit about what this does and does not involve:
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages people read, roughly where visitors come from, and whether things are working. This helps us decide what to write next.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit, including the pages you view, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and general details about your device and browser. Google truncates IP addresses before storing them, so we never see your full IP address in our reports, and we never see your name, email address or any other detail that identifies you personally.
We do not use Google Analytics for advertising. Google Signals, ad personalisation and remarketing are not enabled, and we do not sell or share this data.
If you would rather not be counted, you can install Google's official opt-out browser add-on, block cookies for this site in your browser settings, or use your browser's private or tracking-protection mode. Nothing on the site stops working if you do.
This site carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve those ads and to measure whether they were seen or clicked.
Google may use the fact that you visited this site, and other sites, to show you ads based on those visits. You can turn that off, and see what Google thinks it knows about you, at My Ad Center. Opting out does not remove ads — it makes them less relevant to you.
Some ads are served by third-party vendors of Google's rather than Google itself. Those vendors set their own cookies and are covered by their own policies; a current list is available through Google's advertising documentation.
We do not give advertisers your name, email address or anything else you send us through the contact form. Ad targeting is handled entirely by Google — we do not upload audience lists and we cannot identify individual visitors from advertising reports.
Content covered as part of a paid partnership with a business is labelled as such on the page where it appears, separately from the advertising described here.
Some parts of the site rely on third parties, which may receive your IP address as a normal part of delivering content:
These services have their own privacy policies, which govern their handling of that information.
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details. If an address hard-bounces repeatedly, we remove it automatically. Server logs are retained only as long as needed to operate and secure the site. Statistics about the owner's own social accounts are kept as daily snapshots on our server for trend tracking. Google Analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention period set on the property, currently 14 months.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has subscribed to the newsletter, contact us and we'll remove the address.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to its use. For this site that will almost always mean your newsletter subscription. Email us at the address below and we'll act on your request; there's no charge, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date shown above. If we ever change how subscriber information is used in a significant way, we'll say so in the newsletter itself.
