The 36-inch Monster

The Monster is exactly what it sounds like: a single 36-inch pizza that easily feeds 10 to 15 people. We did not take the size on faith, so we brought a tape measure and checked it ourselves. You get to choose the toppings by the quarter, including specialty pizza combinations, so a big group can cover four different orders on one pie. They will cut it into massive traditional slices, or into smaller square slices if you want to share it around more easily. The one catch is that it is dine-in only. The Monster is genuinely too big to fit out the front door, so there are no to-go orders on this one. Main Street Pizza says it created the Monster in April 2017 and calls it the biggest pizza in the state.

The Monster Pizza Challenge

If you are feeling brave, this is the one to try. Team up with one friend, and if the two of you can finish an entire 36-inch Monster in 30 minutes or less, the pizza is free. Given that a single Monster is meant to feed 10 to 15 people, that is a serious amount of pizza for two. Come in with a real appetite, and even if you do not clear it, you go home with a mountain of leftovers. It is a fun thing to attempt, and just as fun to watch someone else take on.

It is more than the giant pizza

Even if you are not in the market for a three-foot pizza, Main Street Pizza is worth a stop. There are lunch specials throughout the week, the wings and appetizers are great, and there are plenty of solid non-pizza items on the menu too. The owners are genuinely friendly, and the place fills up at lunch almost every day of the week, which tells you what the regulars already know.
