Love Lock Bridge at SnowBean Cafe

SnowBean is a Korean dessert cafe with a lakeside deck, and tucked along that deck is a small bridge covered in padlocks. You can buy a heart-shaped lock at the counter or bring your own, write both your names on it, and lock it to the bridge together. The nice detail here: you don't throw the key in the water like the cliche. There's a lockbox right there full of keys from everyone who's done this before you.

Paint Your Own Mini Mural at Van Goghblin Cafe

Van Goghblin Cafe sits inside Goblin Studios, an art and fabrication space in downtown Orlando, and for about $5 you get a tiny canvas and a full set of painting supplies to work on while you sit and talk. Neither of us are painters, and it didn't matter. It's a low-pressure, side-by-side kind of date, and you leave with something you actually made together. Order the banana coffee. It sounds like an odd combination, but it's a must.

For $8 a person you get two movies back to back, and you can bring your own snacks, blankets, and lawn chairs if you want to set up outside the car. Tune the sound in through your car's FM radio and settle in.

Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour

This is a classic for a reason. A narrated pontoon boat winds through Winter Park's chain of lakes, past old estates, gardens, and the occasional gator or heron, for about an hour. It's calm, pretty, and easy to talk through without shouting over anything. At $20 a person it's not the cheapest item on this list, but it's a reliable pick when you want something scenic without much planning.
